Oxford’s most beautiful restaurant

Housed in a Victorian conservatory, Gees Restaurant & Bar brings an evolved take on Modern British cooking to North Oxford; leaning into our history as the city’s most illustrious greengrocer, we use only the freshest locally sourced ingredients. We take pride in using nostalgic cuts and intuitive flavour combinations that evolve with the seasons.

NEIGHBOURHOOD RESTAURANT

Enlivened by bold patterned textiles, luscious greenery and the clink of glasses at the bar, Gees glasshouse is a buzz all through the year. An all-day menu, Sunday roasts and Modern British cooking with contemporary flair are cooked by talented chefs using the best local, seasonal produce.

PAST MEETS PRESENT

From a greengrocer’s and florist in the late 19th century to Oxford’s best-loved neighbourhood restaurant, the Grade II listed restaurant is nourished by history as much as by food and drink. Gees Restaurant & Bar pays respect to its Victorian past yet entwines it with a fusion of sumptuous seating, ambient acoustic engineering, and bold flashes of pattern and colour.
